Engine Options and Performance Capabilities
Warsaw, IN shoppers will have four powertrains to choose from when they buy a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The standard option is the 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6, which is available with or without the eTorque mild-hybrid system. Either way, it will produce up to 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, giving the Wrangler a strong base to build off of.
Another option is the smaller, but highly capable, 2.0-liter Turbo engine. Although the fuel efficiency and towing capacity are about the same with this engine as the 3.6-liter V6, it provides a boost to the torque up to 295 pound-feet. This allows it to excel on off-road terrain where you need the immediate power of torque more than the long-term horsepower.
As the largest of the gas engines, the 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 is incredibly powerful, offering up to 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. You can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 4.5 seconds with this powertrain under the hood, and it can handle rocky trails and smooth asphalt alike.
The fourth and final powertrain option is the 4xe plug-in hybrid. Combining electric power with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine allows the 4xe powertrain to provide you with up to 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Best of all, it does this while providing you with a fuel economy of up to 49 MPGe, allowing you to travel for up to 370 miles on a full tank of gas and charged battery.
Interior
Being designed to excel at off-road adventures around Plymouth, IN means doesn't mean that the Wrangler's cabin is lacking in any way. In fact, it's partially because of its off-road focus that we love the interior of this SUV so much.
